Student Photos

The black and white photographs in this gallery were taken by students from 11 to 15 years old who have participated in my summer camp sessions. The students composed, photographed, processed the film and printed these beautiful photographs. The students range from beginner to more advanced, and have participated in my summer camp for one or more years. In addition to the summer camp sessions, I teach ongoing workshops throughout the year where students are able to expand their photographic knowledge and experience. Students learn the basics of photography from camera functions to darkroom techniques. In addition, students learn about natural lighting, studio lighting and composition. Above all, I encourage the students to have fun, be creative and use photography as a means to explore themselves and the world around them.
